Bike Ride To Malshej Ghat

Malshej Ghat is a mountain pass in the Western Ghats range in the Thane district of Maharashtra, India. The site is nestled in the lofty rugged hills of the Western Ghats.

A nice view of valleys is one of the major attractions here. The view from behind the MTDC resort is a must-see. It is also famous for dark woods and the animals inside. This animal includes tigers, leopards, rabbits and peacocks etc. But truly a famous place near Malshej Ghat is Khireshwar which is 2/3 km from rest house. Through Khireshwar village, one can visit the famous Harishchandragadh also. One of the beauties here are many waterfalls in the hilly regions. Various waterfalls from small up to the huge ones are really worth to see and many are right next to the highway.

ITINERARY

Early morning meet at Teen Hath Naka-Thane by 06:30 am. Proceed towards Malshej. Enroute breakfast. Enjoy the Waterfalls en-route. Reach at the top of the Ghat and explore the beautiful surrounding and the green environment. Post Lunch, proceed back towards Mumbai. Reach Thane by 08:00 pm.

Rules & Regulations:

Riding order: Two by Two Formation. Single File Leader ahead formation.
Road Rules to be decided by group leaders.
4-5 riders per leader
No competition between riders or other vehicles…stay focused on road…
No breaking away from the pack
Keeping to time schedules
No wrong side riding or overtaking
No alcohol on Rides
