Brahmtal is one of the most beautiful and exciting trekking destinations located within the Himalayan ranges in the state of Uttarakhand. The amazing views of the lofty peaks that the participants get to enjoy from during this trekking trip, further enhances the thrill and excitement of the activity. The main highlight of the trek is the beautiful high altitude lake of Brahmtal, which is believed to be the meditation site of Lord Brahma. In fact Brahmtal trek is one of the most popular treks carried out within the Himalayas.
The trekking trail takes the participants up to a height of 12, 250 ft above sea level. The trail presents a moderate difficulty level making it suitable for people with a minimal trekking experience. The trail mostly passes through thick forests filled with conifer, cedar, fir and oak. In addition, the participants also get to enjoy mesmerizing beauty of the lush green meadows and sloping valleys each featuring a wide diversity of flora and fauna, which are quite a treat for nature lovers. The trek also presents ample challenges to keep the participants mentally and physically engaged at all times.
The best time to undertake the Brahmtal trek is during the winter months from December to March. During this period the entire region takes on a surreal look with the pristine white snow having formed a layer over the ground and even the trees. In addition, to enhancing the picturesque beauty of the area, the snow also enhances the adventure level of the trekking trip making it truly satisfying to the participants. Although, the trail is almost equally bewitching during the summer months, that lack of snow makes it somewhat lacking in thrill and excitement.
