Goecha La is located in Sikkim. The pass is the base camp for those who wish to scale the mountain, and the third highest mountain in the world, Mt. Kanchenjunga is visible from the pass itself. Trekking in Sikkim is an entirely different experience from trekking in the northern Himalayas. The primary reason for this difference is the people and the culture of the place, which are totally different from other regions. The trek takes you through a journey that excites your inner nature enthusiast. The trek is also the path to the beautiful Kanchenjunga National Park. The difficulty level of the trek is considered moderate.
Itinerary
Day 1 : NJP to Yuksom - 150 km Drive
Day 2 : Yuksom to Sachen ( 4-5 hours )
Day 3 : Sachen to Tshoka ( 4 hours )
Day 4 : Tshoka to Dzongri
Day 5 : Dzongri to Thansing
Day 6 : Thansing to Lamuney ( 2 hours )
Day 7 : Lamuney to View Point 1 to Thansing (8-9 hours)
Day 8 : Thansing to Tshoka (6-7 hours)
Day 9 : Tshoka to Yuksom. Stay in Yuksom
Day 9 : Tshoka to Yuksom. Stay in Yuksom.
Day 10 : Yuksom to NJP
