Jaisalmer Backpacking Trip – An Exiting Way To Enjoy The Beauty Of This Desert Town
Jaisalmer is one of t he most beautiful and ancient cities of India, renowned for its great history and culture. The small town, located in the heart of Thar Desert, was at one time a major trading route and connected South East Asia with Persia and other countries in the far west. Today, Jaisalmer is a prominent tourist destination where visitors come to enjoy the great Rajputana architecture and the unique appeal and majesty of the dry landscape. Also popular by the name of “The Golden City”, Jaisalmer has several things to offer to people seeking an exciting get away from their hectic life.
The Jaisalmer backpacking trip lasts for 4 Days and 3 nights during which time the participants get to enjoy the majesty and splendor of this desert town. From exploring the majesty of the Jaisalmer Fort to enjoying the picturesque sight of the Gadisar Lake, from spending a night in the starlit Thar Desert after to visiting the various havelis, every moment of the trip presents a unique opportunity for the participants to celebrate the rich heritage of this city.
This is one backpacking trip that offers a great mix of education and entertainment. As the backpackers roam through the sand filled streets of Jaisalmer they realize the art of overcoming the various challenges of life that the people of this region have mastered. Despite the harsh climate and the tough living conditions, the local people show a great sense of hospitality which touches the heart of every visitor. Most importantly they are immensely proud of their heritage and consider it to be the best aspect of their lives.
Day 00 : Train journey start at 14.50 pm. Overnight train journey
Day 1 : Arrival at Jaisalmer. Vehicle is arranged for you which will transfer you at hotel and settle down ! Check in with backpack. Be ready to explore oldest city of India, Jaisalmer. After spending some good time on bank of Gadaisar lake, will end our day at sand dunes or at sunset point
Day 2 : We always think that people travel on camels in deserts and how they live & what they do ? This is the most Adventures day of our backpacking trip as we are going to do almost 20 kms camel ride exploring at various villages ! End our day with camp fire at “Thar Desert” and dinner.
Day 3 : After spending night at Jaisalmer “Thar desert” will do morning breakfast. Get ready to see different Shades of Jaisalmer fort !! We spending the full day at streets of fort. Jaisalmer is the only fort in world where people stay inside the fort. Patawo Ki haveli, Deewano ki haveli, Salem Singh Haveli we are not going to miss.
Day 4 : Morning board return train to Jodhpur after 02 hours of halt; catch return train to Mumbai.

2. A small Backpack (Avoid Suitcases)
3. A Day Bag to hold camera and essential during sightseeing .
4. Beachwear in case you decide to swim or enjoy water sports.
