Witnessing the highest untiered roaring waterfall covered with lush greenery is indeed a treat to eyes. Yana Caves, the formation of 02 coupled limestone caves (Mohini & Bhairavaweshwar), nestled in the deep forest at Uttara Kannada offers a small trek to the Yana Caves. The view of calm forest in the pouring rain from the top of Yana is totally a mesmerizing! How can one forget Murudeshwar, when exploring Karnataka? So spending a holy visit to Second largest Shiva Statue in India is something you cannot refuse!
ITINERARY
Day 00 : Leave from CST by 10:00 pm to Kumta by Mangalore Express
Day 01
Reach at Kumta by 11:00 am. Have lunch and Proceed to visit the second largest plunge waterfalls in India. Enjoy the 03 hours drive through the dense forest and ghats. Reach and Enjoy the scenic view of Jog Waterfalls. Enjoy the Four rushing Waterfalls : Roarer, Rocket, Raja and Rani. Proceed to Murudeshwar. Late evening check in. Enjoy dinner and lights off for the Day !!
Day 02
Early morning wake up call and check out by 07:30 am. Visit Murudeshwar Temple. Have breakfast and proceed to Yana. Enjoy a small trek of half an hour to Yana Caves. Explore the gigantic Yana caves and witness the beautiful lush view from the top. Enjoy the small Parikrama of the Yana. Enjoy the Mythology story of both Mohini-Bhairaveshwara Shikhara. Descend back proceed to Kumta Junction. Have Lunch and board return train to Mumbai by 04:30 pm.
Day 03 : Reach Mumbai by 06:30 am next day.
