Height of Fort : 3087 Ft. Approx
As the name indicates, the Jungli Jaigad trek offers the participants with the thrilling experience of trekking through some really dense forests. The trekkers feel lost amidst nature as they are surrounded by thick wilderness on all sides and get an opportunity to enjoy the diverse wildlife in the region from close quarters.
This is a challenging trek that takes the participants to the Jaigad Fort perched on top of a hill in the heart of the forest. As the trekkers reach the fort, they get to enjoy a mesmerizing view of the swaying tree tops spread miles and miles in front of their eyes which make them feel like floating on a sea of greenery.
The fort is situated at a height of 2957 feet, which makes it high enough for the trekkers to enjoy their favorite activity. The 1 day and 1 night long trek provides a perfect weekend getaway for people living in Pune and other nearby cities. Another major highlight of the trek is the breathtaking view of the Koyna Hydoelectricity project visible for the fort.
