Kedarkantha Winter Trek is Situated in the lofty Garhwal Himalayas, the Kedarkantha peak offers a very accessible trek, anytime of the year. The kedarkantha trek takes you on a memorable journey starting with the Govind National Park which is a treasure house of flora and fauna such as leopards, bears, musk deers and many birds! The uniqueness of this trek lies in the way it mixes beautiful scenery with a challenging route. Days will be warm but nights are to watch out for as sub-zero temperatures are a common phenomenon. All the challenges aside, at an altitude of 3800m/12,500 feet, the trek promises a sweeping view from the peak.
Day 01 : Dehradun – Sankri (2000m) 8 hrs
Day 02 : Sankri (2000m) – Juda-ka-Talab (2700m) – Shepherd campsite (2900m, Trek/3-4 hrs)
Day 03 : Shepherd camp (2900m) – Base of Kedar Kantha (3400m, Trek/4-5 hrs)
Day 04 : Base camp (3400m) – KedarKantha (3800m) – Juda-ka-Talab (2700m, Trek/6-7 hrs)
Day 05 : JudakaTalab (2700m) – Sankri (2000m, Trek/2-3 hrs)
Day 06 : Return – Sankri (2000m) – Dehradun (Drive 8-9 Hours)
