We will be taking the route which starts from Waghote. This village is located on Manor-wada route at around 8 kms from Mumbai-Ahmadabad highway. One can reach to the top of Kohoj within 3 hrs from the base village. We can find the name of Kohoj in the list of those 23 forts, which were surrendered by Chatrapati Shivaji Maharaj in the Purander treaty with Mughals on 11 June 1665.
ITINERARY
Catch early morning train from CST at 5.34 AM and Meet at Kalyan Station 7.00 AM. Journey towards Wada by jeep from kalyan to Vaghote Base village Reach at 9.30 at Vaghote Start trek after Breakfast it will take almost 2 to 3 hours reach at top of the fort exploration which includes:
- Temple of Lord Shankar.
- Water cisterns.
- Historical remains.
- Hanuman Temple.
- Temple of Lord Krishna.
- A man-shaped pinnacle is one of the greatest wonder of nature’s creation. This is the most attractive place on the fort.
Will have group lunch at any place near water source. After Lunch enjoy the Photography and view from the top .Start descending reach at base village have tea snacks at Wada and drop at Kalyan station .
