ITINERARY
Day 1 – 1st July 2016 (Friday) : Mumbai to Chandigarh
Meet at Bandra Terminus by 10.30 am. Start from Mumbai by Train (Paschim Express) by 11.30 am.
Day 2 – 02nd July 2016 (Saturday) : Chandigarh
Reach Chandigarh by evening, Check In Hotel and get ready to collect your bikes from Cargo office. Late evening Introduction and Instruction session. Dinner followed by briefing about the tour. Overnight in Chandigarh.
Day 3 – 03rd July 2016 (Sunday) : Chandigarh to Manali (310 kms / 10 hrs)
Changarh – Ambala – Sundernagar – Roopnagar – Mandi – Kulu – Manali
Have breakfast early morning and get ready for the longest leg of the expedition. Start riding towards Manali via Roopnagar, Sundarnagar, Mandi and Kullu. Late evening arrival at Manali. Overnight in Manali
Day 4 – 04th July 2016 (Monday) : Manali (for acclimatization)
Vacant day for the riders to get service your vehicle, buy necessary spare parts and do some local sightseeing like Manikaran, Hadimba Temple, Solang Valley. Travellers can do there local sightseeing on your own. Overnight at Manali
Day 05 – 05th July 2016 (Tuesday) Manali to Jispa (120 kms / 6 hrs)
Manali- Rohtang Pass- Koksar- Tandi- Keylong
Early morning left Manali and start riding towards Jispa. First hurdle is to cross very famous Rohatang pass (13,050 fts from MSL). Refuel your bike at Tandi (last petrol pump on this road till leh. Luch at Keylong. Check in Hotel at Jispa. Evening explore Jispa village and enjoy the beautiful riverside of Bhaga River. Overnight at Jispa..
Day 06 -06th July 2016 (Wednesday) Jispa to Sarchu ( 90 kms / 5 hrs)
Keylong- Darcha – Zingzingbar – Baralacha La – Bharatpur – Sarchu
Shortest but the toughest road to drive. Early morning start riding towards Sarchu. Today you have to deal with Paagal nala’s near Zingzing bar which is the highlight of this expedition. Ride through another high altitude pass called Baralacha La (16,040 fts from MSL). Arrive at Sarchu. Overnight in Sarchu.
Day 07 – 07th July 2016 (Thursday) Sarchu to Leh (255 Kms / 10 hrs)
Pang- Gata Loops – Lachulung La – Pang – Tanglangla- Rumtse- Upashi- Leh Ride.
Have breakfast early morning and start riding towards Leh. Today you will have pass through Gata Loops (15,302 fts from MSL), Pang village, More Plains, Tanglang La (17,480 fts from MSL) claimed as the third highest motor able pass in the world. Evening aarival at Leh. Overnight in Leh
Day 08 – 08th July 2016 (Friday) Leh to Pangong (160 kms / 06 hrs)
Leh – Karu – Chang La – Pangong – Spangmik
After riding start journey towards beautiful Pangong Lake en route visit Thiksey Monastery and Shey Palace then take over another high mountain pass called Chang La (17,590 fts from MSL) claimed as second highest motor able pass in the world. Arrival at Spangmik village and check In luxurious tents. Evening time is free to explore the beauty of Pangong Lake (14,270 fts from MSL). Overnight at Spangmik village (Swiss Tents).
Day 09 – 09th July 2016 (Saturday) : Pangong to Leh (160kms / 06 hrs)
Spangmik – Chang La – Karu – Thiksey – Leh
After breakfast visit three idiots point and start return journey towards Leh. En route various stopovers at many places for photography. Evening visit the famous Hemis Monastery before coming back to Leh. Overnight at Leh.
Day 10 – 10th July 2016 (Sunday) : Leh-Hunder / Nubra Valley (135 kms / 05 hrs)
Leh – Khardnung La – Khalsar – Hunder
After breakfast start riding towards Nubra Valley. Today is the achievement day for all of you as today you will be crossing Khardung La Pass (18,380 fts from MSL). After having a photography session at Kharung La proceed towards our destination en route lunch at Khalsar. Check In Camp. Evening enjoy sand dunes of Nubra Valley, You can also enjoy double hump camel ride also can witness the cultural show conducting by locals. Overnight in Hunder.
Day 11 – 11th July 2016 (Monday) : Nubra Valley to Leh (135 kms / 05 hrs)
Hunder – Thiksey – Khalsar – Khardung La – Leh
After breakfast proceed back towards Leh. En route visit famous Thiksey Monastery. Before coming back to Hotel visit Hall of Fame Army museum and late evening visit Shanti Stupa from where you can a scenic view of Leh city. Overnight stay at Leh.
Day 12 – 12th July 2016 (Tuesday) : Leh to Kargil (220 kms / 08 hrs)
Leh – alchi – Lamayuru – Mulbek – Kargil
Today we are leaving Leh and proceed towards Kargil. En route visit Magnetic Hill, Pathar Sahib gurudwara, Confluence of Indus & Zanskar River, Alchi Monastery, Unique Moon Land – beautiful Lamayuru Monastery. Post lunch ride through Fotu La (13,478 fts from MSL). And Namki La (12,139 fts from MSL). Before reaching Kargil visit Mulbek (Buddha Statue). Overnight at Kargil.
Day 13 – 13th July 2016 (Wednesday) : Kargil-Drass-Srinagar (220 kms / 08 hrs)
Kargil – Drass – Jojila End – Sonmarg – Gagangir – Srinagar
Today we are doing to last leg of our expedition. After breakfast start riding towards Srinagar. En route stopover at Dras (Kargil War Memorial). Hear and feel the thrilling stories of Kargil War victory. Observe various peaks like Tiger Hill, Tololing Hill, Batra Top etc. Then ride further through last altitude and thrilling pass called Zoji La (11,575 fts from MSL) before halting at Sonamarg. Post lunch start riding towards Srinagar. Late evening arrival at Srinagar Hotel and Celebrate the completion of one of the toughest bike expedition of the world. Overnight at Srinagar.
Day 14 – 14th July 2016 (Thursday) : Srinagar
Bike transfers by Gati/Safex Courier. Rest day leisure. Overnight in Srinagar.
Day 15 – 15th July 2016 (Friday) : Fly Back to Mumbai
Fly back to Mumbai.
