Madhyamaheshwar temple is famous for its being one of the Panch Kedars. One of the most enchanting treks having abundance of natural beauty. This trek takes you high altitude meadows, a long range of Alpine trees rivulets, waterfalls, and takes you deepest part of Kedarnath, Sanctuary area. The entire trek from Uniana to Madhyamaheshwar is distinguished by wild unparallel scenic beauty in the full view of Chaukhamba, Kedarnath and Neelkantha peaks all along the route. Monal Pheasant and Kasturi Deer abound in the area The temple at an altitude of 3289m is located on the slope of a ridge 29 kms northeast of Guptkashi. The trek starts from Uniana. The temple here contains a superb Har-Gouri statue. The trek further takes one to Ransi, which has a very old temple, low and built of stones entirely.
