Mcleodganj is a small and peaceful town which is famous for being the home of the world famous Buddhist spiritual guru, the Dalai Lama. This town has numerous natural jewels scattered in its vicinity. Before beginning the trekking expedition at Mcleodganj, we give a beautiful opportunity to the trekkers to peep into the lives of the Tibetan community which resides close by. The trail from Mcleodganj to Chamba gives the trekkers a definite opportunity to take glimpses of the beautiful mountain ranges namely, Dahuadhar and Pir Panjal. Apart from these mountain ranges, another factor that adds to the charm of trekking on this trail is the chance to enjoy the camping experience in the quaint town of Mcloedganj and the adjoining areas. This trail is mostly in use by the Gadi shepherds for the purpose of grazing their animals in order to reach the Chamba valley, Sipti and Lahaul. The trail takes the participants through a thick forest cover with mostly rhododendron and deodar trees. Thus, the participants will get ample time to spend in the nature's lap. An attractive aspect of this trail is Indrahar pass which offers the trekkers picturesque views of Mani Mahesh Kailash situated in the East with Pir Panjal range of mountains acting as a backdrop in the North.

Here's a detailed itinerary of the tour:
Day 1 : Dharamshala/ Mcleodganj
The first day is given free to the tourists for the purpose of exploring the beautiful surroundings of Dharamshala and Mcleodganj and enjoying the scenic beauty present there. The participants can experience the culture as followed by the Tibetan community which has inhabited that area. The overnight stay is arranged at the hotel.
Day 2 : Dharamshala-Triund (1+4 Hrs)
In the early hours of the morning, we will take the participants to the point where the trekking trail is going to initiate. The point is situated just a short distance ahead of Mcleodganj. A less than an hour drive will take you to that place. The overnight stay will be arranged in tents situated at a camping site in Triund (2975m).
Day 3 : Triund - Lahesh Cave (3600 M)
The participants are required to start the trekking expedition as early as possible in the morning as they are required to cover a distance of 9kms in a span of 5 hours. The trekking trail runs through the beautifully placed Deodar trees in the forest region. The overnight stay for the participants is arranged in the camps.
Day 4 : Lahesh - Indrahar Pass - Chatru Parao (4350 M)
On day 4, the participants are expected to get some of the exclusive views of the nature's mesmerizing beauty from Mani Mahesh Kailash and Pir Panjal range pass. The camp will be set up for the night stay of the participants.
Day 5 : Chatru Parao - Kuarsi (2730 Mts.)
Before entering, the famous valley of Kuarsi, the participants are expected to trek over many of the snow covered bridges. The experience of trekking in the snow capped bridges just one of its kind. The overnight stay is arranged in tents for the participants.
Day 6 : Kuarsi - Machetar – Chamba
The trekking will lead the participants into the Chamba valley and from the top of the mountain, the participants can have the pleasure of viewing the entire region as a whole. The participants will see, the Dhaula Dhar mountain in the South, the Pir Panjal range of mountains towards the North and the Mani Mahesh Kailash in the East. The participants are required to descend into the Barley fields in order to reach the roads towards Machetar. The overnight stay for the participants is arranged at a rest house situated in Chamba only.

2. A UV protected sunglasses which will be used at the time of trekking expedition in the forests.
3. A toilet kit with toilet papers and dry towels that can be quickly dried during the trekking expedition.
4. Medical kit, first aid kits and water purifying tablets. Any general medicine which is necessary must be carried by the trekker.
