Detailed Itinerary
Day 1 | Arrive Chandigarh at 4pm. Chandigarh – Shimla. 113 kms /4 hrs. (2200mtrs) On arrival our representative will pick you at Chandigarh Airport/Station. After that, proceed to Shimla. In the evening check-in to your hotel have dinner and rest overnight at hotel. (Mumbai to Chandigarh travel option in link below)
Day 2 | Shimla – Narkanda – Sangla – Rakchham (Kinnaur Valley) 253 kms/10hrs (2900mtrs) Leave Early post breakfast, Places to see: Drive towards Kinnaur Valley, Stop at Narkanda, for capturing scenic view of Satluj River. Continue to Sarahan Famous for Bhimakali Temple and apple orchards. Buy apples, apricots. Visit Kamru Fort in Sangla. Walk to Baspa river. Have dinner, Rest overnight at hotel.
Day 3 | Rakchham- Chitkul and back to Sangla – Reckong peo – Kalpa 80 kms/ 5 hrs (2758mtrs) Leave Early post breakfast, Places to see: Chitkul is the last inhabited village near the Indo-China border. Stunning view of Mt. Kinnaur Kailash, 6050 meters. It is considered as sacred by both Hindu and Buddhist Kinnauris drive back to sangla and visit Kamru Fort in Sangla and heading towards Reckong Peo having a panoramic view of Kinner Kailash .Later in the evening have dinner and rest overnight at hotel.
Day 4 | Kalpa – Nako– Tabo 173 kms/ 6 hrs (3050mtrs) Before Sunrise get up to view a spectacular sight as the rising sun touches the snowy peaks of Kinnaur Kailash with crimson and gold light. In khab, where spiti river and satluj river meet. After that drive to climb the mountain up to the hill where Nako village is situated, where you can walk through this village to the lake, It is surrounded by willow and poplar trees, from there you can see the highest peak of Himachal Pradesh known as Leo Purgyal. And then descent down from the mountain and drive along with the spiti river. Visit Gyue Monastery and Pass through Sumdo which is last village of Kinnaur. Rest overnight at hotel in Tabo
Day 5 | Tabo – Dhankar – Sangnam – Mud (Pin Valley) 65 kms/ 4 hrs. (3700 mtrs) Early Morning Post breakfast, Places to see: Tabo Monastery” Ajanta of Himalayas”. Hike to Tabo Caves,visit Dhankar Monastery (3370 m) and trek 2 hrs to Dhankar Lake,3500 m. and drive to Atargu which is 22km from Tabo and then enter to Pin valley, Dinner and Rest over night at hotel
Day 6 | Pin Valley – Kaza – Kye – Kibber – Gette (4270m) – Tashigang – Kaza 11o kms/5 hrs(2758 mtrs) After breakfast move to Kaza. On the way visit kungri monastery, After that visit Key monastery, Kibber Village , Rest overnight at hotel
Day 7 | Kaza – Hikkim – Komik – Langza– Kaza 42 kms/ 4 hrs. (2758 mtrs) Visit Komic village highest habitable village in the country. Tangyud Monastery at Hikkim. visit komic and langza villages and back to Kaza for night stay. Have dinner and rest overnight at hotel
Day 8 | Kaza – Kunzum Pass – Chandratal 105 kms/ 3 hrs. (4300 mtrs) Morning after breakfast we’ll drive towards kunzum pass (4590 m). and click some beautiful pictures of surrounding mountains. And descending down from Kunzum and left turn will lead you to the beautiful Lake Chandertal, in evening time you will visit surrounding of the lake and get the panoramic view of the vast open valley, overnight at Camps.
Day 9 | Chandratal – Rohtang Pass – Manali 130 kms/ 7 hrs (2050 mtrs) The day starts early Today after having breakfast, we’ll drive to Manali via Batal,chattru and Rohtang pass, road is full with gravels &dust and one of the adventurous road for Motorcycle Enthusiast. From Gramphu, which is the point from where you’ll heading towards Leh as well, have to take a left and heading towards Rohtang Pass. And will see a change in weather and get a beautiful view of snowcapped peaks and glaciers towards Lahaul and Green and majestic land of Kullu valley. After reaching Manali rest, fresh up and lunch. We’ll drop you to the Volvo parking near to river side, where the bus will be waiting for you. The Delhi bound AC Sleeper Volvo will leave at 4.30 pm
Day 10 | Arrive Delhi latest by 7.30 am The Volvo drops at ISBT latest by 7.30 am. One can opt a return flight or train to desired destination. (Delhi to Mumbai Travel options in the link below)
