Being closely situated to the “the queen of the hills”, Mussoorie, this trek poses no threat of altitude sickness and thus offering an enthralling experience to the trekkers.
The trek starts from Pantwari which is a quiet village in the vicinity of Dehradun-Mussoorie area. The trek contains a rocky ascent which enters into the grave of rhododendrons after couple of hours of walking. Nag Tibba trek is a perfect trek to do all year long. While in summers, you will be welcomed with summer blossom and greenery all around, whereas in winter you get to enjoy the white blanket of snow all over giving you the feeling of being in a paradise. The camping for the night would happen in a clearing just at the edge of the forest with a view of green slopes of Lesser Himalayas expanding far and beyond. The base camp of the trek is marked by a temple dedicated to the serpent god. From here, the trek to Nag Tibba top is steep and comes with a vision of the Gangotri group of peaks. From Nag Tibba Top,, you can mark out Kedarnath, Bandarpoonch, and Chanabang some of the mesmerizing snow peaks of the Garhwal Himalayas!

Short Itinerary
Day 1 : Arrive at Dehdradun by 6.00 am. Depart for Panthwari via Mussoorie–Kempty falls–Nainbagh and trek to Kathian.
Day 2 : Trek from Kathian to Nag Tibba Summit and return back to Pantwari and drive to Dehradun.
Detailed Itinerary
Day 1 : Drive from from Dehradun to Panthwari via Mussoorie–Kempty falls and trek to Kathian Campsite ( 5 hrs drive & 4 hrs trek).
Arrive at Dehradun by 6.00 am and start the drive to Pantwari Village via Mussoorie Kempty Falls and take right turn from Nainbagh. Pantwari is a small village and serves as the base for Nag Tibba Trek. You can basic requirements from Panthwari Village. Trek from Panthwari to Kathian Campsite. Today’s trek is through properly marked trail initially it might be dusty and after crossing Goat Village you get to see the beauty of lower Himalayas. (6 kms / 5 hrs)
Day 2 : Trek from Kathian to Nag Tibba Summit and return to Pantwari and Drive to Dehradun( 10 hrs Trek and 5 hours drive).
Nag Tibba Trek today is a long day we will start early after the breakfast. Trek to Nag Tibba summit is through the thick forest onver the properly marked trail. After trekking for 2 hours you will reach the Nag Tibba Temple. Nag Tibba is one of the best weekend treks from Delhi. Nag tibba is trek which you can complete over Saturday and Sunday without taking a day off but over two days Nag Tibba trek will test your stamina so prepare well for this trek.
