Major Chaos Happening Due To A Cloud Burst In The Chamoli District Of Uttarakhand

After a massive fire broke down on the forest few weeks back, cloud bursted, causing heavy floods in the Chamoli district of Uttarakhand.

The incident took place at around 5 am on Sunday. The incident has washed away cars and completely damaged a workshop. Fortunately, there is no loss of life.

Badrinath highway has been closed following the incident and efforts are being taken to resume the traffic.

"Many houses were damaged in the cloudburst. One motor workshop was washed away completely,” a local said.

Due to heavy rains, relief and rescue operations have been slow. The affected families and the vulnerable ones are shifted to safer places.
