People Above 50 Years Can No More Climb The Mountains In Nepal and West Bengal

 In case if you are planning to climb Mt. Everest after your retirement, then here is a bad news for you. The Nepal and Bengal governments have set new rules which state that one whose age is 50 years and above is not permitted to climb the mountains within the respective countries. The recently occurring accidents have made the government to set new rules.

 

Arup Biswas, the state Sorts and Youth Affair Minister stated that the rescue operations are expensive.  And also that the government will no longer send the team to bring back the mountaineers who will not be approved to be fit for the sports.

Few rules listed are:

1.   Mountaineers must have an experience of climbing 6,000 meters over the span of the last five years and will have to be less than 50 years old.

Biswas says that to climb a mountain, one need to be physically fit and thus the age limit of 50 years has been introduced.
