Dehradun : Every tourist hopes to experience the place’s beauty in peace and silence. And thus for the concern that the tourists who visit to Uttarakhand should experience a peaceful and satisfying tourist stay, the state government has taken up an initiative of developing 12 noise-free destinations in the state.
"I have directed the state tourism department to identify 12 such places within stipulated time. In the first phase, two tourist destinations will be developed into noise-free zones," said CM Harish Rawat while making an announcement at his Beejapur guest house this Sunday. This announcement was made after CM Harish returned from a meeting with the Union finance minister, Arun Jaitley at Nainital Raj Bhavan.
"The exact locations of these places will be finalized after survey of various spots by officials. Destinations like Chopta, Berinag, Binsar and Ranikhet and Dhanaulti could make it to the list," said the state chief secretary, Shatrughana Singh. He will be talking about modalities with senior officials in the state tourism department.
Talking about the steps included in the initiative, Singh stated that the destination of the places is yet to be finalized. The places will be located where there is no noise in the surrounding areas. He said, “The nearby hotels and resorts could be asked to replicas rolex not hold loud parties. To eliminate traffic noise, parking facilities can be provided to vehicles a few distance away from the areas and tourists can be asked to walk to reach their destination. We will look into the feasibility of these plans."
This step of development has also been appreciated by the travelers. Rakesh Mittal, who was visiting Dehradun, said that the noise-free zone is a good concept. Many tourists come to Uttarakhand to enjoy the serenity of its hills and such zones will help boost tourism.
