Har ki dun trek
This is an easy trek in which one can occasionally encounter rare Himalayan birds like the paradise fly catcher, fork, tail fly catcher and Monal, it is indeed one of the most popular trek in garhwal. The trail passes through villages with traditional building and lush green terraced mountain fields. There are villagers working in their potato fields, herding their sheep in to he jungle, in their traditional dresses, which is a rare and a wonderful sight in our modern age.
A land surrounded by giant pine forests and snowy peaks of the mountains. Situated at the western Ganges of the Garhwal Himalayas, at the base of the Fateh Parvat, Har ki Doon is a treat to the bird watchers, shutterbugs and nature-lovers. The trek starts from Netwar to Osla passing through chestnut, walnut, willow, and chinar trees. This is a holy place (as the name suggests) Hari – meaning God and Doon meaning Valley, and popularly known as the hanging valley of gods.
Here the valleys of this place is also known as for its polyandrous family system- where two or more than two brothers can have one common wife.
It is surrounded by snow covered peaks and alpine vegetation. It is connected to baspa valley by the borasu pass.

There is a shop and a small restaurant at Taluka, where trekkers can buy eatables like biscuits and wafers etc. The valley is around 20-25 km from Taluka.
