Adventure Camping in Nandi Hills

One of the popular and major tourist locations close to Bangalore located in chikballapur dist of Karnataka. This region is surrounded by vast number of mountain ranges lying across tumkur– chikballapur-kolar ranges. On the base of Nandi hills the river Arcavathy originates, and this place is also one of the pilgrimage places due to its historic temples.

This place attracts major tourists with its cool temperature during summer; one can experience the fogy and misty nature with cloud cover below and around the place. It is one amongst the exotic locations due to its climatic conditions; it is nested in the backyards of muddenahalli, which is home town of Sir M Vishveswaraih, who was one of the great architects that India has ever seen.

We conducts the trek from the base of the Nandi hills near mudenahalli, head towards the step parts in to the forest area then move towards the secret passage which was used by rulers as the escape path during wars when surrounded by their enemies, then enter the horse faced door called Kudure Bagillu, and into the peak.

On the peak the travelers / visitors can view the temples towards the rocky step area called Bande, which is the suicide point and also see the originating point of River Arcavathy. From the peak of the Nandi hills you can have a splendorous view of International Airport and the surrounding area, for tourists there is a small garden maintained by the Horticultural dept having kids play area and also one of the old ancient Temple build by the rulers of 15th century to worship the lord Yoganarasimha. Attractive place on the peak is the Tippu’s Palace where he used rest during the summer.
