The initiation point of this trek is at Brasu, which is a small village situated on the road that connects Uttarkashi and Gangotri. Itinerary Details
Day1: Arrive at Camp Bugyalsarai, Barsu
The arrival at camp located in Barsu will take place in the afternoon. The participants can relax and enjoy a cup of tea. The camp is situated in front of the Himalayan peaks namely, Gangotri I,II and III, Srikanth, Draupdi ka danda and Jaunli. A bonfire in the evening will be followed by dinner and overnight stay in the campsite tents. Barsu is said to be the starting point for the Dayara Bugyal trek.
Day 2: Trek from Barsu – Barnala
After the breakfast in the early hours, the participants are required to get ready for trekking at Barnala Lake which is a 5 hour journey from Barsu. Lunch will be served en route and we will reach Barnala in late afternoon. After reaching, the participants can indulge in nature walks, walk around the lake and go for bird watching. The bonfire will be followed by a lavish dinner. The overnight stay arrangements are made in the tents.
Day 3 :Trek from Barnala – Dayara Bugyal
The trekking to Dyara will be started once the breakfast is complete. The Bugyal which is a meadow is spread over an area of 28 sq kms is used for grazing for sheep and other cattle and provides a 270 degree view of the Himalayan ranges. The participants can spend the rest of their day by walking around the meadows.
Day 4: Trek from Dayara Bugyal – Goey
Day 4 is the last day of the trekking expedition at Dayara Bugyal trek. The participants are advised to wake up early and gaze at the first rays of the Sun and walk at a little higher altitude to get a beautiful view of Bandarpoonch, which has an altitude of 6500 m. Once the participants are done with their breakfasts, then can start walking back to reach Goey. This travelling back will be completed in approximately 3 hours and we will reach Goey later in the afternoon.
Day 5 – Trek from Gohey to Road head and Drive back to Haridwar
The participants are required to trek from Gohey in order to reach the main road from where they can leave for Haridwar. The last part of trekking is amazing and full of energy.
