Maharashtra Coastal Cycling route
The Maharashtra Coastal Cycling route is considered to be one of the best cycling routes in the country.The entire coastline of the western state of Maharashtra, starting from the well known towns of Kihim and Alibag in the north.
The coastal oute dotted with golden beaches, picturesque creeks, solitary lighthouses, ancient forts, stunning cliffs and charming fishing hamlets, many of them still remain the way nature sculpted them.Our cycling route would start from Mandwa Jetty and end at Shrivardhan, covering an approximate distance of 100kms, spread over 2 days.
HIGHLIGHTS OF THE COASTAL CYCLING TRIP.
This route is spell bindingly beautiful. It offers what the real traveller is looking for vast open spaces, undisturbed solitude for cycling. Mandwa to Shrivardhan Cycling trip is 100 approx.
How to reach Mandwa jetty.
For Mumbai participants:
Mandwa Jetty is reached by various ferries which starts from Gateway of India.
For timings contact our office. These ferries also take cycles.
For Navi Mumbai participants:
A carriage vehicle will be hired upto Mandwa via Alibaug or take it by ST bus.
If you want to cycle then Kashid can be reached directly from Navi Mumbai via Alibaug. Contact our office for more details
Return journey.
Cycles will be transported back by carriage vehicle from Shrivardhan till Mandwa jetty, and participants would return by support vehicle till Mandwa Jetty.
Stay:
Stay is decent, clean & beautiful homestay along the route.
RESTROOMS while cycling.
Usually wherever we stop for meals , the restaurant or hotel would have a restroom.
AVERAGE START TIME DAILY.
Between6:30 am to 7:00 am.
AVERAGE CYCLING PER DAY.
maximum 50kms per day with stoppages for meals , photography and having fun.
CYCLES.
Cycles can be hired on a daily basis of Rs 300 to 500 per day.
