Key Features of the Forest
> Kaziranga: one horned Rhino, Asian elephants, Wild buffalow togather at one spot.
> birds like grey headed fishing eagle, lesser adjutent, variety of vultures, barbets, parakeets etc.
Meeting Time and Place : Details will be provided to the registered participants 15 days prior to the event at the pre-camp meeting.
Itinerary
Day 1 :
Leave at 04.30 for Mumbai. Board Mumbai-Guwahati flight at 09.40 Reach Guwahati at 14.30 transport -Shillong (around 4 hours drive without traffic jam). Arrive at Guwahati Airport and transfer to Shillong, the capital of Meghalaya and reach by evening. Check in hotel in Shillong. Overnight stay.
Day 2 :
Shillong to Cherrapunji (2 Hours drive). Post breakfast move to Cherrapunji. En route visit Elephanta falls. Attractions in Cherrapunji: Nohkalikai falls, Mawsmai falls, Mawsmai cave, Thengaraka Park, Bangladesh border etc. By evening check in hotel in Cherrapunji and overnight stay.
Day 3 :
Cherrapunji toMawllynnong (3 hours drive). On this day, move to Mawllynnong. Discovery India declared it as “the cleanest village in Asia”. Attractions: Sky view from Bamboo bridges, Khasi Village, The Old Church, Living root bridge, Dowky River which is located on the border of India and Bangladesh etc. Overnight stay at resort.
Day 4 :
Cherrapunji to Kaziranga National Park . After early breakfast move towards Kaziranga NP. Check in at the resort and overnight stay.
Day 5 :
We start our safaris today . Post lunch one more round jungle safari in a different range of Kaziranga NP. By evening, come back to the resort, dinner and overnight stay.
Day 6 :
At Kaziranga - Morning Safari in Eastern Range for birding. Post lunch another Safari in different range. Overnight stay in Kaziranga.
Day 7 :
After breakfast directly move to Guwahati Airport for return journey. ( 5 hrs approx)
