The Borasu Pass bridges the geographical divide between Har Ki Dun valley in Uttarakhand and the Baspa Valley in Himachal Pradesh. The pass which was originally used as a trading route between the two valleys, has today become a popular trekking route. The Borasu Pass Trek is in fact one of the most exciting and enthralling trekking trails in the higher reaches of the Himalayas.
Like most other trekking trails passing through the higher reaches of the Himalayas, this trekking trail is also quite difficult and challenging. The participants of the trek are required to travel up to a height of 5250m above sea level. The 11 day long trek takes the participants through a variety of mesmerizing landscapes, which often make the entire trip completely fulfilling and satisfying.
Trekking through the Borasu Pass proves to be a truly exciting experience for most participants. They get to enjoy the views of some of the most amazing peaks of the Himalayas, including the Bandarpunch, Kalanag and Swargarohini. In addition, the trail also takes them across the beautiful high altitude lake of Morinda Tal as well as the mesmerizing Zupica Glacier. In addition, the participants also need to pass across several rivers and a couple of forest reserves.
In addition to enjoying the thrill of trekking, the participants also get to gain an insight into the lovely culture and lifestyle of the local population. This is because the trail passes through several local villages where the happy and laid back life style of the people provides some inspiring life lessons to the participants. That is why most adventure seekers consider this trek to be extremely inspiring and educating in more than one ways.

Itinerary
Day 01 : Arrive in Sankri
Day 02 : Sankri- Taluka (12 Kms by Road ), Taluka- Seema (12 kms trek)
Day 03 : Seema-Har ki Dun (14 kms trek)
Day 04 : Harkidun to Moninda Tal (5-6 kms)
Day 05 : Rest Day
Day 06 : Moninda Taal – Borasu Pass –Camp 1
Day 07 : Camp 1 – Doaria Camp Ground
Day 08 : Doaria Camp - Chitkul
Day 09 : Chitkul - Kalka/Shimla/Chandigarh
