Prabalmachi is an underexplored place near our Mumbai City. The place offers a picturesque backdrop of two gigantic Sahyadri peaks–Prabalgad and Kalavantin. The Pranbhalmachi FirefliesTrek is an amazing journey to walk along the dense forest and quietly observe these bio-luminescent bodies twinkling all around.
Spend the night with your fellow travellers and sleep peacefully under the vast horizon of out twinkling sky. Wake up to mesmerizing views of the valley and say adios to this beautiful journey.
Flow of The Event –
- 6.00pm: We will meet up at Panvel station
- 6.30: After taking attendance and a small introduction session we all will move towards the base village in a private vehicle.
- 7.30: Will reach the base village and have an introduction session. Will leave for Prabhalmachi with the beautiful fireflies enroute.
- 9pm: Reach Prabhalmachi! Freshen up and get welcomed with fresh home made dinner!
- Explore the place. Witness the fireflies. Share your travel stories with new buddies. And peace out to sleep :)
Day 2:
- Get up with the chirping of the birds.
- Freshen up and get treated with the breakfast and tea.
- Start descend post breakfast. Have a group photo! Share each others contact numbers.
- Reach Panvel in a private vehicle.
Things to carry –
1. Min 2 Litre of Water Bottle
2. Good Trekking Shoes, or Sandals with proper grip
3. Morning Refreshment Kit, sanitizer if needed, mosquito repellent cream like Odomos
4. Though its summer, try to have full jeans/leg-ins to protect yourself form insects bite. The atmosphere will be not be hot in night
5. Have ready to eat snacks with you. Avoid Farsan, or Chiwda which requires heavy water intake
6. Keep extra pair of clothes in case one wishes to change. Changing rooms may be available at base village
7. Any medicines if required at individual level(Leaders will have basic medical kit)
8. Sleeping mat (chatai) would be provided to sleep at night. Carry bedding (chaddar) to sleep at night.

Note –
1. Consumption of alcohol and smoking are strictly prohibited. If found even after warning issued, the person will be asked to leave by the leader.
2. Any plastic waste should not be thrown over the trek and it should be kept with you. You can deposit all waste in the dust bin at base village once trek is over
3. In case of any unforeseen natural calamities, final decision will be taken by group leader which will be binding upon all
Refund Rules –
1. Refund up to 100% will be from to 7 days before up to 15 days before the trek date
2. Refund of 50% will be provided from 3 days before up to 7 days before the trek date
3. No refund with 3 days before the trek date
