Trek to Kalsubai Shikhar

We have planned our rainy season trek to Kalsubai shikhar which is the highest peak in the Maharashtra on 16th July 2017. Kalsubai Peak is the highest peak (1646 meters) of the Sahyadris on the border of Igatpuri Taluka, Nashik district and Akole Taluka, ofAhmednagar district of Maharashtra, an Indian state.The entire hill is a part of Harishchandragad Kalsubai Sanctuary. 'Kalsubai' temple is located at the topmost peak of Sahyadri mountain range of Maharashtra. At the summit there is a small flat portion with a small temple of Kalsubai, a local deity

Kalsubai Trek Climb : Medium Duration : 4 to 5 hours

Kalsubai Height : 1646mtrs (5400 feet)

Fare Trek schedule –

11.30 Pm From Dombivli to kalsubai we are going to travel via private Bus

4.30 Am After reaching the base village we will be having a quick breakfast and tea.

6:30 Am Start ascend

11.30 Am Reach the top & enjoy kanda bhajiya & Tea

12.05 Pm Explore the mountain, sight seeing

12:45 Pm Start Descending

3:00 Pm Reach the base by 3:00pm Max.

4:00 Pm Head towards Dombivli by our private vehicle.

Things to be carried :

2 liters of water (Must)
Full sleeve T-shirts and full pant. For girls full neck t-shirt.(Must)
Good trekking shoes, extra pair of socks (Must)
Towel, a napkin, Extra Pair of clothes Covered in polythene bags
Camera, Cap etc. (Optional)
Electrolyte packets as energy drinks (optional)
Carry eatable like fruits, dry fruits to munch on during trek
A haversack to put in all the things.
Good to have stick for support.
Carry 3-4 extra carry bags.

Note –

Wrap all things (especially camera & cell phone) in polythene bags.
Please avoid bringing valuables, jewelries or expensive things. As the organizers will not be responsible for its loss or damage.
Smoking, Chewing tobacco, or Gutka or Pan Masala, Drugs & Alcohol Drinking are strictly prohibited during the trek.
Keep the campsite neat & clean, we are expecting participants Co-operation in Keeping the Forts as well as the surrounding area clean. Garbage should not be Littered it should be put in dustbin.
