Place closer to Bangalore on the outskirts of kolar and near to mulbagal village is the enchanting hills whose history goes to Ramayana of dwaparayuga. The meaning of Avani is the earth, as this was the place where mother Sita had given birth to her twin sons Lava-Kusha. And also Sita was known as Avanisuta, and temple is constructed on the peak.
This place is one archaeologist trekking place as this place was ruled by the Nolamba Dynasty and temples constructed are the present resemblance of Nolamba architecture as they are stone structures without having basement or not even concrete between the side walls, it looks like placing one wall on the ground with architects carving the sculptures and other wall just attached to it also it looks entire temple being carved of stone boulders which existed at this place on 12th century.
To reach this the temple we need to trek a fair distance as it has footsteps carved out of Rocky Mountains and even surface it this architectural place. After this we need to trek up to reach the Sita temple and on the way to the temple entire script of Ramayana seems to be written on it.
From the Nolamba temples when we start hiking upwards first thing we find is the cave between two boulders where Mother Sita watched the battle between her twin sons Lava Kusha and Husband lord shri Rama.
Moving apart we can find the cave house that is a small room seems carved out of boulders where mother Sita gave birth to twin sons Lava Kusha. Further ahead was the place where it was belived that all your wishes you pray would come true as this was the place where Valmiki Performed Yagnas and is known as “Valmiki Ashram”.
Further hiking front we will find the natural pond which is belived that mothe Sita used to watch all clothes in this pond situated between 2 rock boulders, and then trekking a small distance we will find the Pancha Pandava Gudi where all the Pandava installed Shiva Linga here.
