Torna is one of the most favoured trek around Pune. Being the tallest mountain of Pune district, this trek becomes challenging one. Those who want to shift towards slightly tough treks, Torna fort trek is ideal.
From historical point of view this fort is important because it was the first fort won by Shivaji Maharaj. Also it is said that during repairs of the fort Shivaji Maharaj found pots full of gold coins. This money helped in the construction of Rajgad fort.

Day 1
- 09.00pm Leave from Pune, Fergusson college main gate.
- 12.00am Reach to base village Velhe.
- 02.30am After introduction and briefing, start trek.
- 03.00am Reach to the top of the fort
- 03.00am Have some rest, at fort.
Day 2
- 06.00am wakeup call, sitesseing of fort (Mengai mandir, Enrance, Budhla machi).
- 09.00am Have breakfast on top of fort, start descend.
- 10.30am Reach to base village, freshen up.
- 11.00am Start return journey to Pune
- 01.30pm Have lunch.
- 04.00pm Reach back to pune with sweet memories of trek
Things To Carry
- A postive mind set and a healthy body!
- Luggage packed in big good trekking sack, all luggage packed in plastic bag.
- Complete spare set of clothes & socks
- Water bottle (atleast 1.5 ltr) compulsory
- Electral/ Glucon-d energizers and personal medication
- A sweater/warmwear/rainwear (as per the season)
- Rubber soled sport shoes. (Converse, sandles, chappals, floaters not permitted)**
- A sleeping bag / Thermocol mat and shawl / normal satranji and shawl: (only for overnight treks)
- Torch with Extra pair of Batteries (compulsory)
- Camera, Binocular (Optional)
