A ski paradise in Himalayas, Auli in Garhwal region is the most obvious choice of every ski lover in the country. With huge open spaces above the snowline, Auli offers extensive ski opportunities to both skilled skiers as well as the beginners. With a drop in elevation of 500m from peak-high altitudes, exhilarate your senses by skiing from 3km high-rise slopes. At this height, the skier’s movements are accelerated by the wind while the woody slopes balances their velocity.
Auli makes for one of the best skiing grounds in the world and is an ideal snow skiing tourism destination in India. The best time to visit for skiing in Auli is from late November till March. On the onset of the winter, the mountains of Auli gets covered in a blanket of snow. The best month for skiing is January as Auli receives the maximum snowfall at this time which continues till the last week of march.
The mighty Himalayas provides an enthralling skiing experience thanks to its great heights which makes for long descents. The snow clad mountains, vast open spaces and the height of skiing slopes in Auli ski resort are enough to pump up the adrenaline in any ski enthusiast. So what are you waiting for? Equipment : We provides modern ski / snowboard equipments. Participants are advised to bring heavy woolen clothing like caps, socks, gloves, mufflers, pullovers, trousers, wind proof jackets, dark glasses, gum / snow boots and a torch for personal use.
PACKAGE DETAILS
Day 1 – Arrive at Wooden Huts at Auli in the evening - Welcome Tea–Dinner and overnight stay at Huts.
Day 2 – Early morning breakfast – Transfer to Ski slope – Skiing –Lunch – back to hotel- evening Tea. Dinner
On this day, you slide, slip, fall, bump into trees but end up having a lot of fun. The slopes are warmed by excited cries and laughter of entrants. Post your session, have a sumptuous meal at the Guest house followed by some rest & a short session to stand and balance on the skis and also apply brakes on your own. Evenings are free to build your snow mans & have snow-ball fights.
Day 3 – Breakfast - Onwards Journey
Auli also boasts of Asia's longest - 4 km - cable car (Gondola). It also has a Chair Lift and a Ski-Lift. Take your ride in the cable car to have an experience of a lifetime. Views of high Himalayan peaks like Mana, Kamet and tallest of all Nanda Devi.The ride is functional from 0900 HRS to 1700 HRS. The ride is ideally for 35 minutes (to and fro).Post the cable ride we move to the Joshimath by your journey back home. The memorable adventure comes to an end here.
